1. About this setup

Personal Rclone Backup is a private, non-commercial use of rclone by one individual to back up, synchronize, and restore files using that individual's Google Drive account. It is not offered to other users as a service.

2. Data accessed and purpose

With the account owner's authorization, rclone may access Google Drive file names, metadata, and file contents, as necessary for backup, synchronization, and restoration. Depending on the granted OAuth scope and scheduled commands, it may list, read, download, upload, update, and delete files. The data is used only to perform the owner's configured tasks.

3. Data transfer and storage

Files are transferred between the owner's devices or storage and the owner's Google Drive account. Backups remain in locations chosen and controlled by the owner. OAuth access credentials and tokens are held in the owner's rclone configuration on the system running rclone. This website itself does not collect Google Drive files or OAuth tokens.

4. Sharing and advertising

Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with unrelated third parties. Data is transmitted to Google Drive as necessary for the authorized storage and synchronization operations.

5. Security

Google OAuth 2.0 is used to authorize access. The owner is responsible for securing the local device, rclone configuration, OAuth credentials, and backup destinations.

6. Retention, deletion, and revocation

Files are retained according to the backup and synchronization commands and storage settings chosen by the owner. The owner can delete files from their storage, remove locally held credentials, and revoke access through their Google Account permissions.

7. Google API Services User Data Policy

Use of information received from Google APIs is intended to comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
